Wedding Planning Services

Every service.
One standard.

Most couples do not need more options. They need someone who already knows what to do with them. Every service here starts from the same foundation: we read the room before we walk in. What changes is how far in we go.

Standard. Always.
Read
The people, the room, the risk. We assess dynamics and pressure points before the day begins so nothing catches us off guard.
Design
Every detail built around energy and emotion, not just logistics. How a room feels at 6pm matters as much as what is on the timeline.
Control
Real-time execution with the confidence to handle anything, visibly or invisibly, so you never have to.

Questions couples ask
before they inquire

A day-of coordinator executes a plan that already exists. A wedding planner builds it from scratch: vendors, timeline, design, logistics, and contingencies. In the Seattle and Pacific Northwest market, most venues provide a coordinator for their space only. A planner like DSE manages the entire day across all vendors and locations, not just the venue's portion of it.
The honest answer is that it depends on how much of the planning you want to own. If you want to do the planning yourself but want expert eyes on the decisions: The Read or The Read Extended. If you want design support plus execution: The Design. If you want to hand everything over: The Day. Not sure? Start with a conversation. We will tell you exactly what we think you need.
Yes. Destination couples make up a meaningful portion of what we do. Out-of-state couples benefit most from having a local partner who can vet venues, meet vendors, and scout locations on their behalf. Most of the planning process runs remotely. We meet you in person for the site visit, the rehearsal, and the day itself.
For peak PNW season, June through October, six to twelve months is the strongest window, particularly for full planning tiers. The Read Extended can sometimes be booked on a shorter timeline depending on calendar availability. The first step is always a conversation: we will tell you honestly what is possible for your date.
It means anticipating problems before they become visible. A guest who is getting louder at the bar. A family dynamic that is going to create a moment during the ceremony. A vendor who is running three minutes behind and needs to be quietly redirected before the couple notices. The Room Reader method is built on fifteen years of reading these signals in real time. It is what separates managing a timeline from protecting an experience.
